La Vie du Sud 2007 ~ Merlot.

I tried this wine last year and truth be told, found it lacking and a pale shadow of its sister wine the Syrah. This time around it is much improved, with much nicer fruity notes without the tart finish it had before. It is light to medium bodied with pleasant lingering fruit notes with just a tad of liquorice. Good value for money. I will add that in the last few months this wine has risen in cost from €2 a bottle (at least in my local shop).
