THEATRE: "Woyzeck d’après Woyzeck" de Georg Büchner, une mise en scène de Gwenaël Morin/a direction by Gwenaël Morin

Dernier jour au Théâtre de La Bastille de l'épatante mise en scène du français Gwenaël Morin de la pièce inachevée du médecin, écrivain et scientifique allemand, Georg Büchner (1813-1837), "Woyzeck d’après Woyzeck".

"L'histoire est inspirée de l'affaire de Johann Christian Woyzeck (1780-1824), ancien soldat, fabricant de perruques et coiffeur sans emploi, accusé d'avoir poignardé son amante, veuve du chirurgien Woost, le 21 juin 1821" (dixit Wikipedia).
Sur la scène nue du Théâtre de la Bastille où décors et accessoires sont laissés à l'abandon sur les côtés de la scène (comme avant une répétition), la troupe de comédiens de Gwenaël Morin entrent en scène de manière amusante : tournant le dos à la salle, deux comédiens simulent la coupe du bois par le va-et-vient répétitif d'un archet sur un violon puis le jet de baguettes de bois sur la scène. Et c'est dès cette scène d'ouverture que la proposition de la pièce apparaît : comédiens et mise en scène vont faire feu de tout bois, envahir l'espace (l'espace de la scène, au-dessus, parmi le public, sous la scène, dans les coulisses) et prendre la pièce à bras-le-corps (voir le jeu très physique du personnage principal) pour mieux traduire la folie du monde et d'une pièce jamais inachevée ("Woyzeck est une pièce de théâtre fragmentaire de Georg Büchner écrite en 1837. Elle est restée inachevée après la mort de Büchner", dixit Wikipedia).
"Woyzeck d’après Woyzeck de Büchner est une émanation du Théâtre Permanent. (...) Avec Le Théâtre Permanent, Gwenaël Morin et les acteurs qui l’accompagnent se sont proposés de travailler pendant un an dans ce lieu de recherche et de production artistique situé à la périphérie de Paris pour tenter de développer un outil artistique d’affirmation et d’intensification du théâtre" (dixit Dossier de presse).

The story "is loosely based on the true story of Johann Christian Woyzeck, a Leipzig wigmaker and, latterly, a soldier. In 1821, Woyzeck, in a fit of jealousy, murdered Christiane Woost, a widow with whom he had been living. He was later publicly beheaded" (see Wikipedia).
On the bare stage of the Theatre de la Bastille, where sets and props are abandoned on the side of the stage (as before repetition), the troupe of comedians of Gwenaël Morin take the stage in a funny way: turning their back on the audience, two actors simulate cutting wood with the sound of an archer on a violin and the throw of wooden sticks on the stage. And it's from that opening scene that the proposal of the play appears : comedians and direction will invade all the space (the space of the stage, above, among the public, under the stage, behind the scenes) and to grapple with the play (see the game very physical of the main character) to better reflect the madness of the world and of an ever unfinished piece ("Woyzeck is a stage play written by Georg Büchner. He left the work incomplete at his death", see Wikipedia).
