And then Juvelen disappeared. Two years of silence. Back in 2008, his first record untitled 1 was a kind of "big thing" though. I mentionned him here. If you ask me, I thought that his single Hanna was a killer, but, even if the rest of the album was good, it never matched this level.
Now, Juvelen is back with a new song named All-time high and it seems nothing much has changed since 2008. There is still this electro Swedish touch built on some 80's-early 90's sound. Stilll this recognizable voice. Still this dancing move. The whole thing remains a little bit cheesy but charming too. And nice. However, to be fair, within the Swedish electro scene, I'm much looking forward to the Love is a burning thing debut record than to the second Juvelen one. Let him prove I am wrong.

Et puis Juvelen a disparu. Deux années de silence. En 2008 pourtant, son premier album intitulé 1 était le truc à la mode. J'en avais parlé ici. Si vous voulez tout savoir, je trouvais son single Hanna tout à fait réjouissant, mais, même si le reste de l'album était sympa, il n'atteignait jamais ce niveau.
Aujourd'hui, Juvelen est de retour avec un nouveau morceau intitulé All-time high et il semble que rien n'ait vraiment changé depuis 2008. La touche électro suédoise fortement influencée par les années 80 - début 90 est toujours là. La voix reconnaissable entre mille également. Idem pour le côté dansant. L'ensemble reste un poil kitsch mais charmant. Et gentillet. Reste que j'attends bien davantage le premier disque de Love is a burning thing que le deuxième album de Juvelen. Qu'il me prouve que j'ai tort.
