Here is our first choice of films very literary not to miss this month:
- "The solitude of prime numbers", an adaptation of an Italian novel which was awarded Strega Prize in 2008 (most prestigious Italian literary award) ;
- "Norwegian Wood", an adaptation of the novel of Japanese successfull author Haruki Murakami by French director Tran Anh Hung of Vietnamese ancestry ("The Scent of Green Papaya", "Cyclo") and the music by John Greewood, guitarist of Radiohead ("There Will Be Blood) ;
- "HH Hitler in Hollywood", Maria Meideiros ("Pulp Fiction") and Micheline Presle ("Donkey Skin", "France Boutique") filmed by Frederick Sojcher ("Born to Film") with a music by Vladimir Cosma ("The Adventures of Rabbi Jacob", "The Dinner Game");
- "Où va la nuit", Martin Provost and Yolande Moreau again after "Seraphine" (2008) for an adaptation of the novel "The Long Falling" by Keith Ridgway, which was awarded both Prix Femina Etranger and Prix Premier Roman in 2001 (French awards).^{More in English >>}
