Un premier single extrait d'un album majeur, un pur chef d'oeuvre qui devrait sortir cet automne (pourquoi mon Dieu pourquoi ???), et en plus ce single (téléchargeable sur Itunes) contient l'un de mes titres préférés.

"Village life" est un petit bijou pop, comme seuls les anglais savent le faire, avec un accompagnement très dénudé ce qui le rend encore plus beau, et une guitare acoustique qui me fait beaucoup penser au sitar.

L'autre titre "You left me in no doubt" est une magnifique ballade acoustique avec de jolis arrangements de cordes....tout en finesse.

Si vous me faites confiance (et vous devriez), courrez sur Itunes, téléchargez ce single, vous ne le regretterez pas......vivement l'album !!!

First single taken from a masterpiece that should be published this autumn, and the only bad thing I have to say is :

A SINGLE ???? A SINGLE ??? WE'VE WAITED THIS LONG FOR A FRAKKIN' SINGLE ????? ARE WE IN 1975 ???? NO MR HIGHTON NO, WE ARE IN 2011 AND WE WANT A FULL ALBUM WITH LOTS AND LOTS OF YOUR WONDERFUL, INCREDIBLE, TOUCHING, SUBLIME MELODIES.

Hum hum, sorry, I shouldn't have screamed at you, sorry, um ......really .......sorry......

"Village life" is one of my favorite songs from Mr. Highton's catalogue and I'm very happy that he chooses this one for his first single.

Only english songwriters seems to be able to write songs with such beauty and melancholy in it, why is this so ?

Anyway it's pure magic, I love it.

Oh and I love the guitar part that sounds just like a sitar .

"You left me in no doubt" is another beautiful ballad with nice strings arrangement in it.

Oh and another thing, the cover is great too, I absolutely love it, congratulations to Jasna Skroce for a great job.

The single is out today so run to your nearest Itunes music store and download it, you won't regret it, I promise.
