De son vrai nom Christian Pierini, Mister C est un artiste brésilien dont les créations anamorphiques rendent hommage à des personnalités de la pop culture (Amy Winehouse, Jimi Hendrix, Dark Vador et Stan Lee). Il recrée des portraits en assemblant de nombreux objets : instruments de musique, vinyls et claviers. 1) Pouvez-vous vous présenter brièvement à nos lecteurs

Je m'appelle Christian Pierini, je suis brésilien natif de Rio de Janeiro. Je suis issu d'une famille d'artistes et de producteurs culturels, j'habite à proximité d'une arène de théâtre dans l'ouest de la ville.

1) Could you introduce yourself briefly to our readers

My name is Christian Pierini, I am Brazilian born in Rio de Janeiro. I was born in a family of artists and cultural producers and live in a house on the back of a theater Arena in the west of the city.

2) Pouvez-vous nous présenter vos parcours en quelques phrases

Petit, je me suis passionné pour les arts. Ma mère était peintre, actrice et chanteuse, mon père était chanteur et producteur dans l'événementiel. A 7 ans, j'ai récité des poèmes dans des théâtres et des expositions. Adolescent, j'ai commencé à étudier la guitare et la batterie. Quand j'ai passé mon diplôme, j'ai choisi les arts visuels pour lequel j'ai été diplômé en 2010. En outre, j'ai travaillé pendant deux ans comme assistant art pour la méga star Vik Muniz. En 2013, j'ai commencé à travailler pour mon propre compte.

2) Can you present your path in a few sentences

Since child was involved with the arts. My mother was a painter and actress and my dad was a singer and event producer. To 7 years already, i recited poems in theaters and exhibitions. As a teenager I began to study guitar and drums. When I decided to do a degree, I chose the branch of the visual arts and graduated in 2010. After worked for two years as assistant mega star Vik Muniz arts .. In 2013 I started doing my own work.

3) Pour vous,qu'est-ce qu'un artiste visuel?

Le monde de l'art donne à l'artiste la tâche de la philosophie, la création de concepts. D'après moi, l'artiste se doit de délivrer un message à travers sa production, de faire le lien entre le savoir et la compréhension. Il doit pouvoir mettre en lumière tous les aspects de la société de façon indifférente et faire ressortir les tenants et aboutissants de nos modes de vie post modernes.

3) For you, what is to be a visual artist?

The art world gives the artist the task of philosophy, creating concepts. I already think that the task of the artist is to look through your work, be a bridge for knowledge and enlightenment. Lead to apathetic slice of society to reflect on our way of postmodern life.

4) Quelles sont vos sources d'inspiration? Souhaitez-vous faire passer un message à travers votre travail?

Mon inspiration vient de la lecture philosophique et scientifique. Le message que je veux faire passer à travers mon travail est une réflexion sur la décadence de la pensée dans le troisième millénaire. Nous avons atteint le summum de la technologie et de la communication, cela n'a pas été aussi bénéfique pour la plupart des êtres humains, au contraire, nous voyons aujourd'hui la barbarie culturelle dans les formats HD, 4K en temps réel

4) What are your sources of inspiration? Do you want to get a message through his work?

My inspiration has always been the philosophical and scientific reading. The message I want to get through my work is a reflection on the decay of thought in the third millennium. We reached the pinnacle of technology and communication and it has not done in the best and most human beings, on the contrary, today we see the cultural barbarism in HD formats, 4K in real time

5) Pouvez-nous nous expliquer les différentes étapes de vos créations?

Dans la série actuelle, mon travail consiste à rechercher une image d'une icône de la culture publiée sur Internet. Je fais quelques tests et je commence à travailler l'installation anamorphique en l'érigeant avec des objets obsolètes. Après un mois de travail quand j'estime que l'image est détaillée, je choisis une journée ensoleillée et je photographie l'installation.

5) Can you explain the different stages of preparation of their creations?

In the current serie, my work researching a picture of an icon of culture published on the internet. I do some screening tests and start working anamórphic installation magnified on the ground related to obsolete objects. After a month's work,when I think that the image is detailed, I choose a day of sun and photograph the installation.

6) Dans votre travail, vous recréez des portraits de stars et de personnalités en réunissant des instruments, des vinyles et divers objets. Comment avez-vous eu l'idée de créer cet ensemble?

Je suis un musicien et un gestionnaire d'espace culturel. L'idée est de promouvoir la mémoire des icônes de la culture qu'on tente d'effacer. L'idée m'est venue après un travail que j'ai réalisé avec des instruments de musique en étant l'assistant de Vik Muniz. Nous avons fait le " Rock in Rio festival logo " et nous voulions honorer les artistes que nous aimons.

6) In your work, we have created portraits of stars and celebrities, bringing together musical instruments, vinyl and various items. How did you get the idea for this project? Quels sont vos projets futurs?

I am a musician and a cultural space manager. The idea is to promote the memory of the icons that the culture industry tries to erase. This idea came after a work I did with musical instruments, working as the assistant Vik Muniz. We did the " Rock in Rio festival logo " and thought to honor the artists and icons to admire.

What are your projects in the future ?

Je souhaite rendre hommage à un grand nombre d'artistes. Après, j'ai l'intention d'aborder la question des ovnis et de la vie sur d'autres mondes à travers des illustrations et des installations.

8) Un mot final?

I still have a great number of artists to pay tribute. After that I intend to address the issue of UFOs and life on other worlds through illustrations and installations .
