Spit and Go Genetic

Publié le 24 novembre 2007 par Patrice Roulive

Amazing! I was amazed this evening while reading this post on Guy Kawasaki blog.

23andMe is a company that basically get your Genomic data from a spit sample. First you order your spit-kit, then you send the sample back, then it is processed and uploaded on a website. And then, the magic happens: you can discover your origins, learn what the latest genetic findings may mean for you, and connect genetically with friends, family, and others across the globe.

I would really like to see this in action. For now, it costs 999$/person (or spit ;-)). But remember, $ is so low. On a funny notes, think about all those immigrants who would get this for free when coming to France with their kids and check for paternity. 999$ gift from Sarkozy … but you’re still missing the Web part.
