La critique de Borat

5 ans après Demon Days, le groupe Gorillaz revient avec Plastic Beach. Le premier clip est celui de Stylo, titre assez électro mais bien fendard, tout comme son clip fun et déjanté. 
On retrouve 2D avec un masque de clown, Murdoc qui n'a jamais été aussi effrayé, et une Noodle fusil en main et sérieusement blessée (d'après les croquis sur l'album, ce serait une robotte. Je rappelle qu'elle nous aurait quitté dans El Manana).

Par contre, pas de Russel à l'horizon. C'est la première fois que les personnages sont en images de synthèse. Très belles par ailleurs. Ils sont dans une bagnole ressemblant étrangement à celle de Mad Max. D'ailleurs on sent l'hommage au film de George Miller: décors, nitro, voitures rapides, flics, poursuite... 
A noter que la voiture de police ressemble à celle des Blues Brothers. On aura droit à une petite poursuite, quand débarque un certain Bruce Willis. 
L'acteur n'a jamais cassé son image, mais ici elle fait un sacré show.

Long plan séquence sur sa tronche, jetant son chewing gum par la fenêtre, sourire à la caméra, tirant dans le rétroviseur de Murdoc... 
On a retrouvé le Bruce des Die Hard! Après de nombreux chocs, la bagnole des Gorillaz finit dans la mer. Finalement, la voiture se transforme en sous marin! 
L'univers de Gorillaz est donc toujours aussi déjanté. On suppose que l'engin va vers la plage de plastique. En tous cas, c'est ce que les dessins sur la pochette laissent penser.
