Focus on Easyart.fr

Publié le 30 avril 2010 par Jean-Gérard Anfossi @ReproTableauxFR
Here is my analysis of the  British web site Easyart.com (or Easyart.fr for the French version). I will focus on the French version of their web site, stressing their pros and cons from a user point of view, of course. The consumer is the one that decides.

Easyart

Positive points:

   * the web site sells art reproductions and that's a very good point to start with. The more players on this market, the merrier :-)

   * their design is very good: clear and nice "soft" colors.

   * many affordable posters (below 10 EUR) with a possibility to transfer on canvas.

   * offer of limited edition posters and prints which enables the purchase of high market value product.

   * possibility of choosing frames.

Negative points:

   * access to the hotline only in English (UK phone number) , which make the communication with the French public quite difficult.

   * it is not clear how different their product categories are. Their classification doesn't make sense. If you choose a product in the category "photography", it is classified in another category (Art Prints for example). I wonder why such a classification.

   * very limited customization possibilities (you can choose, if any, between 4 sizes and 3 printing materials).

   ¨* it is not obvious how large their catalog is (number of painters, number of posters, number of paintings...).

Nevertheless, it's a great market player with a positionning close to that of ART.COM (world's leader on this market that I will soon wirte a focus on) that gives anyone the possibility to decorate their walls with nice painting reproductions.

If you have ever bought on their web site, please share with us your experience.
