When I first mentionned Riddarna (translation : "the knights"), they have been existing for only a couple of months. A year and a half later, things seem to have been going pretty well: they have just signed to Novoton, one of the true best Swedish label, and their debut EP Glöm allt, Släpp allt will be out on the 10th of October.
Musically, as I wrote in my first post dedicated to them, they sound like Queens of the stone age with Swedish lyrics. Some wild, fun and frightening rock n' roll, which great anthems such as Lyssna rock n' rollen är död ("Listen, rock n' roll is dead", not a new song though: you could download it in my previous post about them) or my favourite Jag kan glömma allt (="I can forget everything"), a terrific stoner-rock tune with a brand new brilliant video. Amazing and exciting. The opposite of a boring band.

La première fois que j'ai parlé de Riddarna (traduction : "les chevaliers"), ils n'existaient que depuis deux ou trois mois. Un an et demi plus tard, les choses semblent plutôt bien marcher : ils viennent tout juste de signer chez Novoton, assurément l'un des meilleurs labels suédois, et leur premier EP Glöm allt, Släpp allt sortira le 10 octobre prochain.
Musicalement, comme je l'indiquais dans mon premier billet à leur sujet, ils évoquent énormément Queens of the stone age avec des paroles en suédois. Du rock n' roll sauvage, fun et effrayant, avec d'énormes tubes tels que Lyssna rock n' rollen är död ("Ecoutez, le rock n' roll est mort", qui n'est cependant pas un nouveau titre : vous pouviez le télécharger dans mon billet précédent) et mon préféré Jag kan glömma allt (="je peux tout oublier"), une tuerie façon stoner-rock avec une excellente nouvelle vidéo. Etonnant et excitant. L'opposé d'un groupe ennuyeux.
