[DIY] My own fabric label - Mes étiquettes en tissus homemade

My DIY are often for giving. So I like to add a perfect finish touch on them. I don't sell what I make so I don't need to buy a bunch of labels on Etsy even if I find them awesome. So I use an easy way to make some.
La plupart de mes articles faits main sont souvent pour offrir. Alors, j'aime bien y mettre une petite touche bien à moi. Je ne vends pas mes articles donc je ne vois pas l'intérêt d'acheter une pléthore d'étiquettes sur Etsy même si je les trouve superbes. Donc je les fais moi-même.
You'll need / Matériel :

• Some Cotton Twill Tape / Un ruban de coton sergé
• Some Print' Jet Transfer Paper for dark fabrics / Du papier de transfert pour textiles foncés 
• An Iron / Un fer à repasser
• An Injet Printer / Une imprimante à jet d'encre

And, of course : Scissors, Computer, an Ironing board etc / Et bien sûr : une paire de ciseaux, un ordinateur, une planche à repasser etc.
1 - Design your image and make a test onto regular paper to check if the height of your label fits on the ribbon / Dessiner votre logo, puis faites un test sur du papier ordinaire pour s'assurer que la hauteur du logo correspond à celle du ruban.
2 - Preheat your iron to the highest setting but with no steam / Préchauffer le fer à repasser à la puissance maximal, sans vapeur.
3 - Print your image onto the transfer paper and cut out into long strips. / Imprimer l'image sur le papier transfert puis découper-le en longues bandes.

4 - Peel off the backing paper / Retirez le papier au dos du support d'impression. 

5 - Lay the cotton twill tape flat. Place a strip printed side up onto the ribbon. Place the protective paper onto the image. Then iron the image together with the protective paper. Don't use steam, press for 60-90 seconds. / Placez le ruban de coton sur la table à repasser, puis apposez la bande face imprimée en haut sur le ruban. Poser le papier de protection ( fourni avec le lot de papier ) sur l'image. Repasser le tout ensemble pendant 60 à 90 secondes sans utiliser de vapeur.

6 - When it has cooled, remove the protective paper / Quand ça a refroidi, retirez le papier protecteur.

7 - Now, voilà! You can cut them as desired, store them in a box, sew or glue them on your items / Et voilà, il n'y a plus qu'à découper vos étiquettes comme vous le désirez, les ranger, les coudre ou les coller sur vos articles faits-mains.
