Madhouse assists in the cooperation of Jaguar and Electronic Arts in Mobile Games

Madhouse, a SHANGHAI based mobile advertising network and mobile marketing service provider, has helped to integrate Jaguar's new F-TYPE sports car in the Need for Speed Most Wanted OL, a mobile online game by EA. Last year Madhouse helped to integrate the Jaguar XKR in the Need for Speed SHIFT 2. Based on this experience, Madhouse chose the Need For Speed Most Wanted OL for the Jaguar F-TYPE sports car, mainly based on the association of the product and the game, the fitness of the brand and the game's theme, as well as the consistency of the users and game players. By this cross-partnership cooperation, the Jaguar F-TYPE sports car will feature as one of the main car selections in The Need for Speed: Most Wanted OL, with a shortcut through the Grading race and an exclusive racing map setting. At the same time, players will experience the virtual driving, better understanding of the performance and as well as the features of the car, and the opportunity to promote the Jaguar brand well. Need for Speed: Most Wanted OL is EA's free mobile online racing game based on SNS that also provides social interaction between players with Time Shift Multiplay.

Ding Ding Coupon Smart Reader System - China's Largest Closed Loop Coupon Validation System

Ding Ding Coupon, China's mobile coupon application service, officially announces the launch of a wireless Smart Reader system. This in-house developed Smart Reader will be able to complete and verify Online-to-Offline (O2O) transactions and generate real-time statistical data to help understand market behavior and trends. The product will be rolled out in over twenty cities in China including Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, as well as regional cities such as Chongqing, Wuhan, Hangzhou, and Nanjing. The Smart Reader is a pocket portable and shock resistant device which allows employees to validate and redeem coupons. In the wireless coupon validation process, data is generated to the Ding Ding Smart Market analysis engine where real-time reports on user behavior and market trends are generated. The Smart Market analysis engine gives definitive and detailed data on promotion effectiveness and use as well as long term market analysis and trends. The system also allows the consumer to use their mobile phones to find, store, and use coupons as well as prepaid services.

Focus Media Reports Fourth Quarter and Full Year 2012 Results

Focus Media Holding Limited announced its unaudited financial results for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2012. Total net revenue for full year 2012 was $927.5 million, an increase of 18% from $786.5 million for full year 2011, of which aggregate net revenue from the LCD display network, in-store network, poster frame network and movie theater network was $895.5 million, representing an increase of 22% from $737.0 million for full year 2011 ; and net revenue from the traditional outdoor billboard network was $32.0 million, representing a decrease of 35% from $49.5 million for full year 2011. For the fourth quarter 2012, advertising net revenue from the LCD display network was $127.5 million, representing a decrease of 7% from $137.4 million for the fourth quarter of 2011. The decrease in net revenue was due to a weaker brand advertising environment. Advertising net revenue from the poster frame network was $85.7 million for the fourth quarter of 2012, (+ 33% yoy). Advertising net revenue from the in-store network was $11.1 million for the fourth quarter of 2012 (- 31% yoy). The decrease was mostly attributable to less advertising spending from domestic dairy producers. Advertising net revenue from the movie theater network was $19.8 million for the fourth quarter of 2012 (-5% from $20.8 million for the fourth quarter of 2011). According to Focus Media, the decrease in net revenue was mainly due to a weaker brand advertising environment.

Pluribus Networks Receives Strategic Investment from China Broadband Capital

Palo Alto based Pluribus Networks, specialized in hardware-accelerated network virtualization for private and public cloud datacenters, announced that China Broadband Capital (CBC) has invested in the company's Series C funding. China Broadband Capital (CBC) is a China-based private equity firm with focus on media and communications investment. This brings the total amount raised to date to over $44 million from investors including Menlo Ventures, New Enterprise Associates, and Mohr Davidow Ventures. The funding will be used to meet customer demand for deploying the company's production-ready software-defined virtualized Fabric offering in China.
