Christophe Heymann, de la réalité à l'art

Regarder puis observer la peinture de Christophe Heymann, c'est se plonger dans une réalité multicolore bien structurée au service de l'imaginaire. Artiste peintre, confirmé, illustrateur de son état, Christophe sait, à partir d'un visage, d'un corps, amener les regards vers une autre réalité artistique plus complexe pourtant lisible et pétillante.  Vous voyez un visage, mais c'est toute l'essence du personnage qui se dévoile au regard. La forme, le cadre sont évidents et pourtant les sujets n'y sont pas enfermés, ils sont vivants, en dehors de toute convention. Looking at then really paying attention to Christophe Heymann’s painting means diving into a multi-coloured, well- structured reality which is at the service of the imaginary.  Being an experienced painter and cartoonist, Christophe knows how to, starting with a face or a body, draw attention to another artistic reality, more complex but still very readable and bubbly. More than just a face, it is the whole essence of the person which is unveiled. Construction and frame are obviously there, but the subjects are not imprisoned, they look alive in a rather unconventional way. Beauty is present, but what interests Christophe the most is expressivity – as found in everyday things, looks and attitudes - and God knows there is plenty of it in his art!

Il peint à partir d'une photo sa réalité à lui et nous ouvre des portes sur son monde créatif, intelligent, lumineux et accessible. Cette forme de générosité semble comme une évidence dans sa manière de peindre, d'appréhender le monde, de partager. Sa technique assurée, franche, digne des plus grands sert indéniablement  à sublimer le réel.

L'artiste à la maison : Les peintures de Christophe sont tout à fait accessibles. Il a bien voulu me communiquer quelques indices de prix. Sachez juste que les prix se font au métrage (côté le plus grand) et qu'il peut vous ouvrir son atelier si vous passez près de Clermont l'Hérault (34). Sinon vous aurez toujours la possibilité de le retrouver dans différentes galeries, où lors de ses nombreux vernissages.

My opinion : Christophe Heymann is a colourful, enthusiastic and energetic character, yet he is also firmly anchored into reality – just like his work!

The artist at Home : Christophe’s paintings are very affordable as he was king enough to give me an idea of what the prices are. Paintings are priced by the meter (on the longest side) and he is willing to open up his art studio if you are in the vicinity of Clermont L’Hérault (34). And you can always see his work at art galleries or at one of his many exhibition openings.
