Au réveil d’une sieste j’ai su en un instant
que j’étais en vie. C’était stupéfiant,
presque effrayant. Émotions et sensations
me submergeaient. Cela ne m’était jamais arrivé.
Sur une chaise bleue dans un pré j’ai réappris le monde.

Woke up from a nap and in an instant
knew I was alive. It was startling
to the point of fear. Emotions and sensations
were drowning me. This had never happened before.
On a blue chair in a pasture I relearned the world.
