Une femme à l’honneur aujourd’hui : La Fleur. Un si joli pseudonyme qui en dit déjà long sur l’univers de cette jeune Dj et productrice suédoise.

On part de Stockholm, sa ville natale, direction Berlin, ville qu’elle a choisit pour exprimer sa passion pour la musique; une passion qui la dévore ou plutôt qu’elle dévore depuis sa tendre enfance. Elle débute avec une formation classique de flute et de piano, puis à l’adolescence s’oriente vers d’autres univers, où constamment à la recherche de nouveaux sons elles se met à enregistrer des mixtapes pour elle et ses amis.

La musique a toujours fait partie intégrante de la vie de Sanna (La Fleur). " J’aime la musique, c’est une part importante de ma vie et ça le sera toujours ! ". Cette passion elle l’exprime également au travers de la danse qu’elle a pratiqué pendant plus de huit années en ballet mais aussi la salsa ou encore la danse orientale. “Pour moi la musique ce sont les émotions, l’amour et surtout une langue universelle..”

La Fleur est une artiste pleinement investie dans sa passion. En 2007 elle quitte son métier de pharmacienne pour enfin accomplir son rêve artistique en produisant sa propre musique. Dès 2010, elle sort son premier Ep intitulé “Flowerhead" et crée dans la foulée son propre label "Power Plant" un thème floral qui colle parfaitement au personnage et à sa sensibilité musicale emplie d’émotions et de délicatesse.

Le succès de ce premier Ep ne se fait pas attendre,” Flowerhead" sortira de nouveau sur le label Whatpeopleplay avec un excellent remix de Spencer Parker. Depuis, La Fleur a sorti deux Ep et évolue avec la team Watergate, où elle a d’ailleurs une résidence. Cet été sortait sur le label du club ce coup de maître qui hante les clubs techno du monde entier depuis cet été : "Nigthflow”.

La Fleur est une artiste accomplie, influencée par le bouillonnement culturel et artistique berlinois, mais surtout par ses amis et les nombreux voyages qu’elle entreprend. Elle façonne sa musique au gré de ses expériences et s’impose d’elle-même sur une scène électronique déjà bien fournie!

Lorsque l’on demande à la Fleur quelques mots sur ses projets futurs, elle nous explique simplement qu’elle va continuer à voyager pour diffuser sa musique. Mais pas que. Au programme également, un nouvel Ep “Feline" pour entretenir le jardin de Power Plant cet automne et des projets très excitants pour l’année prochaine.. de quoi tous nous tenir en haleine!

 Today, we let the queen take her throne as we’re met with : La Fleur. An alias most fitting to the beauty which unfolds with this young Swedish DJ and producer.

 The story begins in Stockholm, her hometown, and gradually makes its way towards Berlin, the city in which enabled her to fully express and pursue her passion for music. This dire passion has consumed her life since early childhood, where she began her musical career in classical training of both piano and flute. As she grew into adolescence, she was introduced to the various realms of which the music universe has to offer. In the endless search of new songs and genres, she took joy in creating mixtapes for her friends.

 Music has played an integral role for Sanna (La Fleur). Beyond just a mere liking for music, "It’s an important part of my life and will always be".

 This admiration for music was further expressed through dance, and lead her to practicing ballet for over eight years. She even ventured off into the worlds of both salsa and oriental dancing. "For me, music is emotion; love, and above all else, a universal language…"

  La Fleur is undoubtedly an artist fully invested in her passion. In 2007 she left her job as a pharmacist to fulfill her dreams of producing her own music. In 2010, she released her first EP entitled “Flowerhead" and in its aftermath created the label "Power Plant”, inducing a floral theme which perfectly embodies her music sensibility. Her execution of emotion and delicacy organically achieves a refined and unique sound.

 The success of her first EP continues to prosper, “Flowerhead” will soon be re-released on the label Whatpeopleplay with an excellent remix by Spencer Parker. Since then, La Fleur has released two EPs and has evolved with the Watergate team, where of which she holds residency. Just this past summer, the club’s label released the renowned “Nightflow”, a track which has flooded the floors of techno clubs all over the world.

 La Fleur is an accomplished artist, influenced by Berlin’s abundant environment of culture and art, and further by her friends and the numerous travels she undertakes. All of her experiences has ultimately shaped her sound and has well-imposed itself upon the current electronic scene.

 When asking La Fleur questions about future projects, she filled us in with her upcoming EP this fall entitled “Feline”, expanding the garden of Power Plant. The rest she left secret to keep us in suspense, and responded that most significantly, her aim is to continue traveling and diffusing her sound on a global level. This is surely an artist to keep a close eye on! And we wish her nothing less than the upmost best towards her flourishing career.
