Hello ! Ma vie est plutôt mouvementée en ce moment, et avec tout ça je n'ai pas vraiment pris le temps de me poser pour faire le point sur l'année qui s'est écoulée. Comme 2014 a été marquante pour moi au niveau professionnel, j'ai pensé que ça pourrait vous intéresser de savoir ce qu'il se passe aussi en dehors du blog ! Non ?Car oui, j'ai un travail qui me passionne et qui consiste à créer des dessins textiles (imprimés et tissés) destinés à des marques de prêt-à-porter. Et celles-ci sont d'ailleurs très variées (plus infos >ici<).Mon plus gros client est un éditeur de tissus jacquards situé dans la région de la Loire. Made in France, aspect auquel je suis attachée. Vous pouvez d'ailleurs me voir à l'atelier entrain de regarder les échantillons de tissus.

* Le premier évènement marquant de l'année fut de voir mes créations dans LA boutique Topshop d'Oxford Circus à Londres. C'était un de mes rêves car j'ai toujours adoré cette marque anglaise toujours à la pointe des tendances. Avec mes deux collègues Adeline et Amélie, on était comme des dingues et on a pas résisté à faire des essayages des modèles avec notre tissu palmier ! Un super souvenir qui restera gravé à jamais dans mon esprit.* Au défilé Topshop Unique à Londres, que je suis attentivement chaque saison. Kate Moss, égérie de la marque, a eu la bonne idée de venir avec Lottie, sa demi-soeur qui est également mannequin, et qui a porté son dévolu sur le skort avec notre fameux palmier. Si on m'avait dit que ça arriverai un jour je n'y aurai pas forcément cru. Mon design en front row à côté d'Anna Wintour !! Le top !* Quelques mois plus tard, la blogueuse Pauline que j'adore porte un blouson de chez 3 Suisses avec mon tissu hawaïen dans un de ses look ! * Lors d'une soirée River Island où j'étais invitée via mon blog pour la présentation de la collection été, je découvre mon tissus Ananassur une jupe et un short ! Ces modèles se retrouvent sur Asos, e-shop mondialement connu ! * En septembre une collègue me montre un article de magasine où l'on voit Malia Obama en Chine (inutile de vous préciser que c'est la fille de Michelle) qui porte une robe Topshop avec mon tissu Brocart. * Anna Sui, créatrice américaine de talent (je ne rate aucun de ses défilés) nous demande de créer un tissu jacquard exclusif avec des hirondelles. Ce fut un réel plaisir d'imaginer un dessin pour elle, qui allait faire partie de sa collection. Et quelle émotion de le voir ensuite dans le défilé Automne Hiver 20145/15 à New York. La cerise sur le gâteau, le sac hirondelle a fait la couv' du Journal du Textile de novembre.Quand je pense que ces dessins je les ai créé chez moi, et qu'ils se retrouvent chez des marques que j'affectionne, dans des défilés et portés par des personnalités et icônes que j'admire, je me dis que tout est possible ! Hello! My life is pretty fast-moving at the moment, and with everything that's been going on I haven't really taken the time to sit down and reflect on the year that just ran through our fingers so quickly. As 2014 was pretty important to my professional life, I thought it would be interesting to let you all know what's been going on with me in the world outside of my blog! Cool, no? For indeed, I have a job that I'm so passionate about and that involves me making textile drawings (prints and weaves) destined to be sold to ready-to-wear brands. And these said companies are very diverse (more information >here<). My biggest client is an editor of jacquard fabrics situated in the Loire region of France. Made in France, a concept I'm quite attached to myself. You can also see me in the studio looking at fabric samples. * The first important even of the year was seeing my creations in THE Topshop at Oxford Circus in London. It was one of my dreams that came true, for I always have loved this British brand, always so on top of the current and future trends. With my coworkers Adeline and Amélie, we went crazy and couldn't help but try on all of the pieces created with our palmtree fabric! A great memory for me, one that will always remain dear to my heart. * The Topshop Unique runway show in London, a show that I always pay extremely close attention to each year. Kate Moss, the brand's muse, had the excellent idea of coming with Lottie, her half-sister that's also a model, and who wore the skort with our lovely palmtree fabric. If someone had told me that THAT would've happened one day, I wouldn't have believed them! My design, sitting front row next to Anna Wintour! Amazing! * Some months later, the fashion blogger Pauline whom I just love wore a jacket from 3 Suisses with my Hawaiian fabric design in one of her looks! * When I was at a River Island party I had been invited to via my blog for the presentation of the summer colelction, I discovered my pineapple fabric on a skirt and a pair of shorts! These pieces can be found on ASOS, the online shop known all over the world! * In September a coworker of mine showed me a magazine article where we can see Malia Obama in China (don't need to tell you guys, but like, that's Michelle and Barack's daughter!!!) wearing a Topshop dress with my Brocart fabric. * Anna Sui, the talented American designer (I've never missed a single one of her runway shows) asked us to create an exclusive jacquard fabric with swallows. It was truly a pleasure to think up a piece for her, that would become a part of her collection. Also, what an emotion to see the fabric in the A/W 2015 runway show in New York! The cherry on top was the swallow bag that made it onto the cover of Le Journal du Textile in November. When I think that these drawings that I made in my home can now be found in brands that I love, in runway shows and worn by famous people and icons that I admire, I say to myself that anything truly is possible !
