De janvier à février 1974, Dylan & The Band tournent dans toute l'Amérique, tournée historique vu qu'elle était la première depuis 1966.
En juin 1974 sortira un double live: "Before The Flood" (#3 US-#8 UK), produit par Dylan & The Band.

Dylan qui n'hésite pas à inventer de nouvelles mélodies quand l'envie lui prend (It ain't me babe) ou de changer les textes selon son humeur.
Bref, un must have pour les fans du Zim comme les fans du Band.
Dylan et The Band vont pourtant se quitter, chacun reprenant sa route de son côté.
The Band sortira un nouvel album en 1975 et Dylan, l'un des meilleurs disques de toute sa carrière
