De 1995 à 1999 il était chef artiste au Buryat State Opera and Ballet Théâtre (Ulan-Ude). Décor pour : “La dame aux Camélias” (1996), “The Shaman’s dreams” (1998, the Russian Drama Theatre, Ulan-Ude), “Where are you, Son of Blue Sky” (1998, the Buryat Drama Theatre).
De 2000 à 2004 Bato a été l'artiste du fameux théâtre Marinsky à St. Petersbourg.
