Callie Shell est une photographe qui travaille pour le magazine Time. Auparavant, elle a passé huit ans à la Maison Blanche en tant que photographe officielle du Vice President Al Gore. Il y a 4 ans, elle rencontre Barack Obama, quand elle couvrait les coulisses de campagne présidentielle de John Kerry. Elle a envoyé à son éditeur plus de photos de Obama que de Kerry. Lorsqu'on lui demande pourquoi, elle répond alors : "je ne sais pas. J'ai juste un sentiment à son sujet. Je pense qu'il sera important sur la route." Son premier reportage photo d'Obama date d'il y a deux ans et demi. Elle le suit partout depuis.
Callie Shell is a contract photographer for Time magazine. Previously she spent eight years at the White House as the official photographer for Vice President Al Gore. Four years ago Time photographer Callie Shell met Barack Obama backstage when she was covering presidential candidate John Kerry. She sent her editor more photographs of Obama than Kerry. When asked why, she said, "I do not know. I just have a feeling about him. I think he will be important down the road." Her first photo essay on Obama was two and half years ago. She has stuck with him ever since.
