When I think of Atlanta, the first thing that comes to my mind is their asphalt river:
It's a twelve to fourteen lane road, the one to the left it for taxis and car-pooling vehicles only. It was my first feeling of Atlanta years ago, a huge road and such traffic that I had no wish whatsoever to drive. I'll take the bus thank you very much.
Ensuite, c'est l'image plus classique des grattes-ciels. Celle qu'on associe avec les grandes villes américaines. Finalement ca me rappelle un peu Toulouse avec les maisons des maîtres pasteliers qui ajoutaient des tourelles a leur maisons au XVe siècle, toujours plus haut pour montrer leur importance aux habitants et concurrents.
Then comes to me the more classic image of skyscrapers. The one we always associate with the big american cities. Somehow it reminds of Toulouse a bit with the Pastel Masters adding tourets to their houses in the 15th century,always higher to show how important they were to the inhabitants as well as their competition.
They all seem so tidy, in a nice line along the streets.
Some square and concrete look like parking garage.
Some don't qualify for the title of skyscraper, beat in size and yet they have so much charm.
Some like Bank of America took out their big guns, the kind to give you a neck strain.
Other were able to show their creative side
