Peter Jellitsch, architecte et artiste australien nous présente son projet baptisé Bleecker Street Documents, tentant une description de l’espace fragmenté.
Il nous explique :
« Bleecker Street Documents can be read as a fragmented space description. The project was recorded in an apartment in Manhattan (New York) with a radio wave measuring instrument over a period of 45 days. The installation deals with the attempt to make the invisible coating of a physical real-space through “WLAN-Wireless Local Area Network” visible.
- Fragment A (text): measured data
- Fragment B (object): translated notations on a plane surface
– Fragment C (image): scientific explanation of the phenomenon under study«
Peter Jellitsch analyse les signaux WI-FI durant 45 jours dans un appartement New-Yorkais.
« I used a radio-wave-measuring device several times a day in the apartment and translated the measurement result daily on paper«
Il analyse, puis modélise ses données par leur force, leur périodicité, leur localisation, lui donnant une pléiade de points.
“I am not interested in depicting something that I’ve seen in the real world,” he said at the time. “My interest lies in transforming something that I’ve seen in the virtual world.”
Bon au delà, la recherche, la réflexion, la création en elle-même reste très intéressante de sa conception à son aspect final.
Une création compliquée à décrire, car moitié scientifique, moitié artistique .. qu’en pensez-vous ?
