 Christophe Lemaire is leaving Hermès

In order to focus him on his own label, Christophe Lemaire is leaving Hermès after four years as the artistic director.    

  July 21, Hermès has announced the leaving of its artistic director Christophe Lemaire. Present since four years, the designer now wishes to dedicate himself to his own label.   Christophe Lemaire will leave Hermès the October 1st at the end of the Spring-Summer 2015 collection presentation. The name of his successor is unknown for the moment. 

 Last March, Hermès has presented in Paris its Autumn-Winter 2014/2015 collection. For this collection, the designer plays at the same time on the men’side with boyish pieces but also proposes very feminine cuts.  Autumn-Winter 14/15 Hermès Show 

Christophe Lemaire starts is career in 1986 as Christian Lacroix’s assistant at Jean Patou et Christian Lacroix.  In 2000, the designer is named artistic director of Lacoste’s ready-to-wear. It is in June 2010 that Christophe Lemaire joins Hermès as artistic director for women’s ready-to-wear. From now on, Christophe Lemaire will dedicate himself to its eponym brand. He designs clothes for men and women and the ideal wardrobe is the eternal theme of his collections.    Up-and-coming brand, Christophe Lemaire offers quality pieces, simple and confortable at the same time.
