Chengtao Yi, jeune designer basé du côté de Brooklyn, nous présente son projet de tabouret léger baptisé Cork Fold, une selle de liège aux courbes organiques à simplement enfourcher !
Le liège, matériau naturel flexible et sensible, apporte toute la douceur et chaleur à la création. Aucune vis, aucun clou, une épaisse feuille de liège recourbée en ruban fixée par adhésif noir, rien de plus !
« The Idea first is just using cork as a material for my speaker design, but when I was playing with the material I found that the structure cork sheet is very interesting and organic. While exploring I was using tape to secure the form. However, the more I use the tape the more I got interested in its combination with cork. Eventually I decided to use a very quick method to just use the duct tape and cork together without using any screws or nails or glue.«
