" From Paris is Burning to Paris Hilton " From Dapper Dan to Cardi B, African American pop culture has become legendary and offered entire generations the taste of making anything possible. Millennials are thirsty for wall breaking and frontier tearing: they have seized the statutes of luxury and taken them to the streets because they own everything already. Andrea Crews celebrates in joy the reunion between these torn territories through a banner collection, raised to the glory of Chateau Rouge firemen and great Houses; the latter having unsurprisingly well understood the stakes of a happy revolution led by the entire Z generation. AC FW18 show pays tribute to unbridled universe of the 2000s, perfume of sequins, of too much isn't enough, and of freedom, that has inspired the digital native crowds to question an ill world which they were brought in as their only way of revenge, in order to take control. Andrea Crews has centennial dressmakers dancing to the rhythm of colorful puffers, iconic tartans and bourgeois houndstooth, effortlessly embraced by bicolor straps and upcycled silhouettes in the middle of the crowd, tenderly interrogating the mania of an era.
