Le Moulin-Rouge est un cabaret parisien fondé en 1889. Contrairement aux autres Moulins de Montmartre (il en existait une trentaine), il n’a jamais broyé de grain ou de maïs. Le Moulin-Rouge, avait pour unique rôle d’être l’enseigne du cabaret qu’il abritait. Il fut le premier bâtiment électrifié de Paris.
The Moulin-Rouge is a Parisian cabaret founded in 1889. Unlike other Montmartre mills (there were around thirty), it never crushed grain or corn. The Moulin-Rouge had the role of being the sign of the cabaret it sheltered. It was the first electrified building in Paris.
