Warpaint en live!

Pour fêter la sortie du premier album du groupe californien Warpaint, nous vous avons concocté un article avec des photos live exclusives réalisées cet été à New York !!!

Pour info, les 4 filles dans le vent de Warpaint sont en tournée en ce moment en Europe et sont même passées par la France en participant au festival des Inrocks!! L’autre actualité du groupe c’est qu’elles viennent tout juste de sortir un excellent premier album! Dans la lignée de leur premier 6 titres mixé par Mr John Frusciante (guitariste de Red Hot Chili Peppers), The Fool nous propose du rock mélangeant savamment shoegaze, grunge, noise ou psyché… La voix d’Emily Kokal fait pas mal penser à celle de PJ Harvey, et avec les chœurs on est quand même plus proche de Veruca Salt… C’est du rock indé, plutôt calme, aux ambiances oniriques mais relevé par une section rythmique très groovy vraiment excellente et des voix qui se mèlent et s’entre-mèlent avec brio. Les Warpaint ont su créer un univers vraiment personnel : un point d’équilibre parfait entre doux et amer, c’est à la fois frais et nostalgique. En tout cas, on vous conseille de vous ruer sur cet album!!! Et en exclusivité, voici des photos live de Warpaint que nous avons réalisé cet été à New York dans la librairie du Whitney Museum !! D’ailleurs en concert c’est vraiment bien aussi!!!! Enjoy!
