[Release] Ramadanman sort du nid.

Il est rare que nous vous parlions d’une info qui a déjà fait le tour des sites et autres blogs spécialisés, d’autant plus lorsque nous n’avons aucun contenu en streaming ou en téléchargement à vous offrir !
Cependant nous ne pouvions nous empêcher de vous dire deux mots sur cette 56ème compilation de la Fabric mixée par le mec dont on vous parlait depuis un bout de temps, mais qui n’a réussi qu’à remplir un quart de Glazart en novembre dernier… Sir Ramadanman.

Avec, une fois de plus, un artwork des plus soigné tant par sa propreté que par son symbolisme, l’anglais nous offre ici une compilation regroupant de nombreux incontournables du style UK, tels que le Different Lekstrix de Mr Mageeka, Pirates de Burial, ou encore le plus récent Battle for middle you de Julio Bashmore, aux côtés d’exclusifs, et de jolies surprises comme  « Late night Jam » de Levon Vincent, déjà playlistée dans le Panorama Bar II de Tama Sumo.

Un mix brut et sans fioritures, à l’image de ce à quoi ressemble un set de Ramadanman en club avec un départ dans les 120 BPM pour finir dans les 140. On regrettera cependant que l’ouverture vers le côté House de la force n’aie pas été plus loin…  (Descriptif + Tracklist dans la suite du post)

Ramadanman :

“It’s all very much live mixing, no time stretching or auto beat matching. It’s a bit of a retrospective of some of my favourite music from 2010, and is representative of a set I would play in a club. Even though I don’t play much stuff at 140bpm these days, I always like to end up at that tempo as that is the music that got me to where I am, and tracks like Sub Zero by D1 are very powerful for me because they remind me of spending time at FWD in 2006, which was so formative. I remember going to the first time that Fabric booked dubstep DJs, think it was January 2007, when room 2 was taken over by Mala, Skream etc. and it was a great night. I didn’t really go to Fabric very often when I was younger, but I knew of its reputation so it was very exciting to play there for the first time. For a DJ to play there, it’s great – everything works, no technical problems and even if something did go wrong there’s always technical guys on hand.”
