Review – Beauty Bay & Love Makeup + Nail of the Day

Je faisais la plupart de mes emplettes beauté sur HQ Hair mais depuis leur rachat par une autre groupe, beaucoup de marques ont disparus site. J’avais demandé par le billet de Facebook si Mario Badescu  allait revenir mais pas de réponse précise. Je me suis alors mise à la recherche d’un autre site vendant la marque, et je suis tombée sur Beauty Bay. Site anglais également, on y retrouve notamment Stila, Urban Decay, Orly, Nubar,… Au niveau des frais de port ils augmentent selon la quantité commandée mais pour un petit colis j’en ai pour €6 donc tout à fait raisonnable. Je l’ai reçu en une semaine, bien emballée dans une boîte,… Bref je suis contente et je recommanderai c’est certain.

A part quelques produits Mario Badescu j’ai pris un vernis Nubar: Hologram Glitter. Un vernis holographique. Il est possible d’obternir un effet opaque avec 3/4 couches, mais j’ai préféré utiliser une base argentée et puis 2 couches de Nubar. Pas facile à photographier mais à la lumière je suis une vraie disco ball. ;)

I used to buy a lot of my makeup and beauty products on HQ Hair. But the website was recently taken over my another group and many brands have disappeared. I asked on Facebook when Mario Badescu would reappear but they couldn’t give me an exact answer. So I went looking for another site and found Beauty Bay. They are also based in The UK and you can find brands like Stila, Urban Decay, Orly, Nubar,… The shipping costs go up when you add items to your basket but I paid €6 for a small order so that’s fair. I got it in a week, well packed,… So I am a happy customer and will definitely be back.

Besides the Mario Badescu products I also ordered a nailpolish from Nubar: Hologram Glitter. A holographic polish. It’s possible to make it completely opaque with 3/4 coats, but I prefer to apply a silver base coat, and then 2 coats of Nubar. Not easy to photograph but in the light I look like a disco ball. ;)

J’ai aussi testé Love Makeup car je souhaitais acheter un fond de teint de la marque canadienne Face Atelier. Toujours basé en Angleterre, ici vous pouvez choisir l’envoi recommandé ou non. J’ai choisi non recommandé et je l’ai aussi reçu en une semaine. Très bien emballé dans une petite boîte. Le site vends aussi pas mal de produits M.A.C. qui ne sont plus vendus dans les boutiques. Les prix sont un peu plus chers qu’à la sortie des ces produits mais bon c’est pratique si jamais vous ne pouvez vivre sans un certain pigment ou ombre à paupières!

I also tested Love Makeup because I wanted to try a foundation from Canadian brand Face Atelier. They’re also based in The UK, and here you can chose to have your parcel recorded or not. I chosed not to and got it in a week also. It was well-packed in a small box. The website also offers a lot of discontinued M.A.C. products. The prices are higher than when these products first came out, but maybe you can’t live without a certain pigment or eyeshadow, and that’s when the sites becomes handy!
