Tony Blair attending a meeting of French President???s right-wing party (Tony Blair au Conseil national de l'UMP).

“In the United-States I would be Democrat, In the UK I am part of the Labour, in France I would be….in the government. No I’m joking I would be in the Socialist Party, alongside those who are committed to transforming it” said Tony Blair on Saturday attending a meeting of French President Nicolas Sarkozy's right-wing party. Tony Blair invited to speak about the reform of Europe, insisted on the need for change and on the luck for France to have Sarkozy as President. “The conclusion to be drawn for the people of both Left and Right is: in a changing world, misfortune to the one which stagnates”. The flattering Blair needs Sarkozy to become the first Eu’s President. Sarkozy did say to Blair just after his victory: "I made my Tony Blair". The Socialist Party in their response to Blair’s comments did not seem to have noticed that Blair was not totally positive towards the French president and his right-wing party. Blair's speech appeared to acknowledge the decline of the French political class on the left and also on the right.

« Aux États-Unis je serais démocrate, au Royaume-Uni je suis travailliste, en France je serais.... probablement au gouvernement. Non je plaisante, je serais au PS, mais au côté de ceux qui ont à coeur de le transformer » a dit Tony Blair hier devant le Conseil national de l’UMP. Tony Blair invité à s’exprimer sur le thème de la réforme de l’Europe a insisté sur la nécessité de changement et sur la chance qu’à la France d’avoir Sarkozy comme président.
« La conclusion à tirer pour les hommes de gauche comme de droite est la suivante : dans un monde qui change, malheur à celui qui stagne ».
Blair, le flatteur, a besoin de Sarkozy pour devenir le premier Président Européen.
Sarkozy n’avait-il déjà pas dit au lendemain de sa victoire en parlant de sa compagne victorieuse : « J’ai fait mon Tony Blair ».
Le PS dans ces commentaires ne semble pas avoir remarqué que Blair n’a pas totalement épargné l’UMP et Sarkozy.
Le discours de Blair semble montrer le déclin de la classe politique Française à gauche évidemment, mais également à droite.
