Le designer belge Bram Vanderbeke nous présente The Wowen Desk réalisé pour l’obtention de son diplôme à la SchoolOfArts Belgique. Il nous propose de travailler chacun dans sa bulle, mais cela sans perdre totalement le contact avec le monde autour de nous.
Une bulle de travail, nous rappellant sans détour le bureau Cocon de GamFratesi par sa forme, et le bureau Une planche, un meuble par Guillaume Dulau par l’utilisation de bandes de bois / tissus.
Il nous explique :
« The end result can I get a piece of furniture which I consider wooden slats in such a way around a sheet so I bend a certain fixed shape concern. I provide this slots between the strips of wood which any contact with the environment as possible. Because of the slats in a particular manner to each other to be woven, we obtain a set value which is the place even more emphasized. »
Après la chaise, il semble bien que le bureau et l’espace de travail soient les nouveaux sujets de prédilections des jeunes créateurs.

« After a few years I started to create my own vision, based on my studies of wood and interior design, and my personal interests and experiences. At this time that vision is growing and searching its way to myself and the world. The experiment and the search for forms, functions and materials are for me an important starting point in design.
This according to sketches, renderings, scale models and prototypes.
I need to feel the design in combination with the use and the right materials. In a design I like to combine my creative thoughts with the technical aspects of it. I also like the feeling, reaction or behaviour that a design should cause. This interesting focus allows users to experience the design on their own way. »
