Manicanparty est un groupe pop du Minnesota. Le titre « Rebels in the Light » est une cérémonie qui se déroule après le chaos pour le retour de la lumière, avec l’utilisation intensive de tambours et des chants tribaux.
Le groupe (auteur-compositeur et producteur) est composé de Jessica Corazza et Patrick Morrissey. Ayant grandi dans le Minnesota ils ont chacun trouvé leur propre chemin vers les arts. Patrick Morrissey a fait du théâtre et a joué dans un certain nombre de groupes indie, tandis que Jessica Corazza a étudié le chant et la guitare.
En 2007 ils ont commencé à composer de la musique ensemble dans le Connecticut, c’est le début d’un partenariat nouveau et dynamique. Après avoir obtenu leurs brevets, ils déménagent à Brooklyn, NY pour trouver une maison de disque. Le titre « Rebels in the Light » est un hymne tribal fort accentué par le timbre vocal unique de Jessica Corazza.
