Le blog reprend vie avec quelques clichés enneigés à New York. Le Polar Vortex subit brutalement sur la ville et je ne savais pas ce qu'avoir froid signifiait vraiment avant son arrivée. Entre temps, la neige est tombée.
J'adore quand New York est recouvert d'un épais manteau blanc. Le calme après la tempête, il y a quelque chose de magique qui fait que la ville apparaît apaisée et sereine. Soudainement, la ville se radoucit, le rythme urbain effréné se ralentit, et les New Yorkais prennent le temps d'apprécier ce moment. Le jour d'après est féerique, quand la ville semble intouchée et qu'aucun pas n'a encore été foulé.
Quant aux jours suivants, la frénésie réapparait, les New Yorkais reprennent leurs rythmes soutenus et l'épais manteau blanc se transforme en une boue écœurante. Alors si vous avez l'occasion, profitez de ce jour d'après tempête de neige, cette jolie et joyeuse parenthèse dans la jungle New Yorkaise.

Très bonne année 2014. xx. Jennie---The blog is back to life, and I would like to share some pictures of the snow with you. New York City is still suffering from the infamous Polar Vortex, and I learned how being "freezing dead cold" really means. In between though, the snow managed to fall.
I adore when New York dresses up with a thick white coat. There is something magical about the peace reigning after the storm. Suddenly, the city slows down and New Yorkers take the time to enjoy the moment. The day after a snowstorm is heavenly, when the city seems untouched and not a step has been put on the ground.
Days will pass and sadly the craziness of the jungle will take over, New Yorkers will go back to their busy schedule, and what used to be a pretty white layer will then transform into a disgusting grey mud. So if you can, just take the time to stop, have a break with the city and enjoy the moment.
