De l’art caché dans des livres

Étonnant ! Des tableaux cachés dans des livres.

L’impression de peintures sur bords de pages est une technique utilisée depuis le XVIIème siècle ! Au premier regard, quand le livre est fermé, on ne distingue rien puisque la majorité des livres utilisant cette technique ont des bords de pages dorés, cependant il suffit de faire glisser les pages du livre selon un certain angle pour découvrir de véritables merveilles !

Selon « l’Encyclopedia Britannica« , la technique d’art caché est utilisée depuis le moyen âge en Europe mais a été très utilisée du 17ieme au 19ieme siècle. Il est difficile d’attribuer la paternité des œuvres reproduites avec cette technique car la majorité d’entre elles ne sont pas signées.
