Les bottes cuissardes

Bonjour! Je suis ravie de vous présenter mes nouvelles bottes cuissardes. Après avoir fait le tour de tous les sites internet possibles et imaginables, j’ai enfin trouvé une jolie petite paire en solde chez Minelli. J’avais en tête, comme référence, les cuissardes en velours de chez Stuart Weitzman. Ne trouvant pas d’équivalence, je me suis laissée séduire par une version différente, plus marquée, en cuir avec un talon épais. Je n’aurais pas acheté ces bottes en cuir si ce n’était pas pour leurs talons épais, plus faciles à porter, sans pour autant tomber dans les anciens clichés… Je pense que les Highland de chez Weitzman devront attendre l’hiver prochain avant de faire leur entrée dans mon dressing… je fais une pause sur les achats bottes pour la saison !

Selon moi, il est préférable de porter des bottes style cuissardes associées avec un bas noir (pantalon slim ou collants) pour rester sobre et élégante. En effet, les cuissardes font partie de ces paires de chaussures on ne peut plus risquées qu’il faut porter avec intelligence. En revanche, une fois que l’on a compris les associations autorisées, elles sont un vrai bonheur à porter. Elles allongent la silhouette et donnent une allure résolument féminine. Grrrr

The over the knee boots

Hi there, I’m really pleased to show you my brand new pair of over the knee boots. After having searched all over the internet, I finally found a pretty pair on sale at Minelli, a well known french shoe shop. Originally I had in mind a pair from Stuart Weitzman and yet, I couldn’t find any thing similar at a reasonable price.  I was seduced by Minelli’s charleather boots with a thick heel. I wouldn’t have gone for this leather version if it wasn’t for a thick heel that make them very chic.  I think the Stuart Weitzman highland boots will have to wait until next winter before they land in my closet… I’m taking a break from boot shopping for this season !

I really think that over the knee boots should be worn with black bottoms (slim pants or tights) to stay understated and elegant. Actually, over the knee boots are a risky style that must be worn cleverly. On the other hand, once you understand how to associate them with your outfits, they are a real pleasure to wear. They lengthen your silhouette and give a very feminine look. Grrrr
