Ce mercredi 13 janvier des marins en tenue d'apparat dans notre Cité du Doudou pour une cérémonie officielle menait par la marine militaire belge en effet un des chasseur de mines recevait en fait un nouveau commandant féminin première femme francophone Ann Van Bree , elle a reçu la cloche du Narcis, Une cérémonie a été organisée en son honneur à Mons,Ann Van Bree a été présenté à l'équipage par l'amiral de flottille Georges Heeren, commandant de la composante Marine.

La cérémonie militaire s'est déroulée sur la Grand-Place de Mons, parce que chaque ville est marraine d'un navire militaire belge et la cité du doudou est dans le cas du M923 Narcis la marraine de ce chasseur de mines est tout simplement la maman de notre échevin des sports , elle avait baptisé le BNS Narcis en 1991

A new boss for the BNS Narcis On Wednesday, January 13th was the mine hunter M923 Narcis and his crew a new commander. During a military ceremony that took place in her godfather Mons has Flotilla Admiral Georges Heeren, Commander of the Navy, lieutenant first class Anne Van Bree appointed as the new commander of the ship. Anne Van Bree est la première francophone commandant de navire Een nieuw baas voor de BNS Narcis Op woensdag 13 januari kreeg de mijnenjager M923 Narcis en zijn bemanning een nieuwe bevelhebber. Tijdens een militaire plechtigheid die plaatshad in haar peterstad Mons heeft Flottielje-admiraal Georges Heeren, Commandant van de Marinecomponent, luitenant ter zee eerste klasse Anne Van Bree aangesteld als nieuwe bevelvoerder van het schip. Dit gebeurde in aanwezigheid van de schepen voor sport , de heer Pascal Lafosse, zoon van de meter van de BNS Narcis, tevens ook aanwezig, die het schip doopte in 1991. Tijdens de plechtigheid werd traditiegetrouw de scheepsbel opnieuw overhandigd aan de bemanning. Met dit gebaar eindigde de plechtigheid De bemanning bestaat uit 35 mariniers, waarvan 4 officieren, 13 onderofficieren en 17 bemanningsleden. De lijfspreuk van de Narcis "In arduis constans " betekent, volharden in eenvoud. De gemengde bemanning bestaat 60 % nederlandstaligen en 40 % franstaligen. De mijnenjager Narcis is volop bezig met zich klaar te stomen voor haar toekomstige opdrachten en doorloopt zijn opwerkingsfases SARC4 tot SARC 6 (Sea Acceptance Readiness Check). Dit proces zal de ganse bemanning en het schip opwerken zodat het kan ingezet worden in toekomstige operaties vanaf eind juni. Haar eerste opdracht wordt HODOPS (historical bom disposal) voor de kust van Cherbourg (FR). Tijdens deze opdracht wordt historische mijnen en bommen onklaar gemaakt uit de beide wereldoorlogen. L'équipage du chasseur de mines M923 Narcis compte 34 militaires : 4 officiers, 13 sous-officiers et 17 matelots. La devise du Narcis " In arduis constans " signifie " Persévérant dans les difficultés ". L'équipage est composé de 60 % de néerlandophones et de 40 % de francophones.
