Lynea Lattanzio a 67 ans. Elle s'occupe de plus de mille chats en semi-liberté. Elle vit dans son mobile home et les chats disposent de sa maison à cinq chambres sur un terrain de 2 500m² . Elle s'occupe de 800 adultes et 300 chatons, aidée par une équipe de 45 bénévoles. L'équipe commence les tétées vers 4 heures du matin. Lynea récupère tous les chats errants et abandonnés de sa ville. Elle a ainsi récupéré plus de 28 000 chats depuis la création de son sanctuaire en 1992.
Les frais de fonctionnement entre nourriture,vaccins, soins, frais de vétérinaire, matériel, reviennent à 1,6 millions de dollars par an.

A caring cat lady has given up her 4,200 square foot home to more than a thousand felines. Sixty-seven-year-old Lynea Lattanzio now lives in a trailer on her six acre property and allows the cats to run freely through the five bedroom house. Today she runs Cat House On The Kings which is California’s largest no-cage, no kill sanctuary for feral and abandoned cats. Lynea and her team of volunteers care for about 800 adult cats and 300 kittens. The team starts feedings at the shelter at 4am and they also give medical attention to critically ill cats.
