Kinjo on Sunkhumvit Soi 69

I think you already know Japanese food very well.

But, how about Okinawa food?

It’s an island located in the far south of Japan.

Okinawa is famous for beautiful beaches..

In Okinawa, the beaches are quieter and cleaner than Pattaya and Phuket, I think.

The culture is very unique and a bit different from the one that you may imagine.

It makes you feel like you want to go there, doesn’t it??

Let’s try in Bangkok.

The restaurant’s name is Kinjo, and its location is on Sukhumvit Soi 69.

5 mins walk from BTS Phra Khanong st.

It was really crowded even on weekdays.

The interior makes me feel like I’m in Okinawa.

Caution!!

This is not accessories! haha

It’s called Umi budou, sea grapes. (THB 130)

First of all, I was scared because I thought my bf doesn’t like it.

But it was opposite! He said tastes good!

It tastes salty and actually nothing! hehehe

and only 1.23 Kcal.

You should try it to boast of this experience to your friends

😉

This is Goya Champuru, stir fried veges with bitter melon (THB 240).

It’s the most famous Okinawa food, I think.

Because of the bitter melon, it’s a bit bitter but taste really nice here and good for your health.

This is Jiimami Tofu, Peanut tofu (THB 60, 103Kcal).

I loooove this tofu♥️

It tastes totally different from normal tofu!!

It tastes a bit like peanut and sticky a bit like mochi♥️♥️

I always think I can eat this with ice cream or chocolate sauce!

But normally we eat it with salty sauce.

We also ordered Taco rice (THB 170).

Do you know it’s from Okinawa??

Ahhhh, super delicious♥️

They have  Awamori (Sake from Okinawa) on the menu too!! yayyyyy

We got Awamori with Shekwasa (a kind of lemon from Okinawa).

It’s really yummy♥️♥️

Until I visited here, I thought it’s difficult to serve this kind of traditional food in a foreign country.

It’s totally my misunderstanding.

It tastes really really delicious!!!!!!!!!

If you get bored of normal Japanese food, why don’t you try Okinawa food in Bangkok?
