Finally I could go to Mandarin Oriental Afternoon Tea after their long renovation.
Of course the partner to get afternoon tea is my friend Mega ♥️
She is the first friend I made after I moved to Bangkok.
Above is the outside of the afternoon tea place.
It’s like a fairy tale.
The main entrance is so gorgeous.
I wanted to try the afternoon tea here for a long long time.
One of the Japanese famous movies, “Sayonara Itsuka” uses this hotel as the setting.
I’m a big fan of this original novel!!
To keep my imagination fresh in my mind, I haven’t watched the movie yet, but the hotel really matches to the story…
As soon as we sat down we got lime ice cream. I like this service, because we don’t have to wait and feel starving until main set come.
So beautiful, isn’t it? ♥️
We shared one portion, because we didn’t feel confident enough to eat everything each, haha.
The first plate was rasberry cake, butter cake, lemon macaron, chocolate and …I’m not sure what the green cake’s ingredients is… It tastes a bit sour and very sweet.
The second plate is not sweets.
I ate only salmon tart. It tasted really nice.
I still can’t forget how delicious these scones are!!!!!!!
They are the best scones I have ever eaten….♥️
I felt like I was in food heaven…..
It was such a wonderful time.
Here is definitely one of the best sightseeing spots in Bangkok for girls.
I also found study inside the tea room.
Everywhere inside Mandarin Oriental is a great photo spot!

日曜日は念願のマンダリンのアフタヌーンティーへ行って来ました。
スイーツを食べる時はいつもお友達のMegaと一緒です♥️
バンコクへ来て初めて出来たお友達^^
私がかつて大好きでたまらなかったタイ人、ポーさんに大失恋し、そのまま奈落の底へ突き落とされた際になんとか陸地まで引き戻してくれた恩人でもあります。
ポーさんネタ始まると止まらなくなるので話を戻します。
それにしてもマンダリンは何度来ても、感動しますわ。。（ちょっとわざとっぽい？）
いや、本当に建築からインテリアから細部にわたって美しすぎるんです、ここ。
私はサヨナライツカの原作の大ファンで、残念ながら映画は観たことないのですが、
ここへ来る度に、一人ノスタルジックな気分になってかっこつけてます。

肝心なアフタヌーンティーのお味はハナマルッ！
温かいものは温かく、冷たいものは冷たく、細かいところまで気遣っているのがよくわかります。
それにスコーンが美味しくて、美味しくて。
しっとりしていて、どこかもっちり。
でもって小麦粉の味がまろやかで素朴な感じがこれまたいいんだわぁあ。
いつもDeliciousかすんごい美味しいしか言えない私が初めてその他の語彙を使ってみました。
それほどドストライク。
このアフタヌーンティーの前にクラブサンドイッチセット（ポテト大盛り付き）を食べたことは英語では言いません。
