La collection Dior Homme Eté 2017 de Kris Van Assche traduit un parcours explicite, transposant l’énergie d’une jeunesse depuis les boîtes de nuit new wave -comme la hacienda à manchester – au cœur d’un paysage industriel de fête foraine imaginaire.
L’ordre et le désordre se racontent en parallèle, alors que des flashbacks faisant référence à la new wave et à une dynamique sportive se mêlent au crescendo revendiqué d’un tailoring raffiné. « cette saison, on ressent une vraie conscience collective dans cette collection, comme une relecture des souvenirs issus de l’adolescence, nous confie Kris Van Assche. je me suis intéressé à faire la synthèse des générations et l’observation des contre-cultures à travers un prisme personnel, pour raconter cette nouvelle histoire. »
Progressivement, les silhouettes ébauchent une nouvelle perception du vestiaire formel. Les savoir-faire ancestraux des ateliers s’approprient détails et ornements industriels : ce sont des œillets, des lacets, des agrafes, et des laines imprimées, bousculant ainsi notre conception du costume deux-pièces. Comme subvertissant la rigueur classique, les vestes sans manches et les mailles ajourées chair laissent apparaître une peau d’été derrière des harnais qui à la fois la voile et la révèle.
On retrouve toute une réflexion sur la mémoire du vêtement à travers le travail des matériaux artisanaux qui se donnent parfois l’aspect d’une pièce trouvée, portée, abimée. les rayures tennis s’effilochent, les mailles portent des cicatrices, les pieds de poule deviennent flous, et les peintures florales de toru kamei apparaissent comme des écussons identitaires. a travers ces pièces hybrides, les références aux vêtements de travail et de sport marquent avec insistance le paradoxe d’une rébellion tempérée.
De nombreux peoples étaient présent au défilé.
