So excited to share this mani I did for #PLRFavoritePainterCollab hosted by @polish.lab.rat I was SO excited to join! I absolutely love Impressionism and for those who also don’t know, I’m an artist outside of nails as well the collab idea was so inspiring as there are SO many amazing artworks to recreate onto nails, but it’s about your fave artist so I had to do Claude Monet’s Impression Sunrise *also wanna toot my own horn with this mani because I painted using my non dominant hand (because I had my watermelons at the time) and I’m very proud of myself! *also showing thumb before topcoat bc I loved seeing the brushstrokes SWIPE to see the replica I did several years ago on a mini canvas too! I got the urge to sit down and do my usually sad and neglected right hand today and honestly it’s never looked better!! The inkie marble effect is a special technique @beautyworksbyamy currently has an amazing workshop on, had a bit of trouble smudging out the white lines with my left hand but otherwise it was so much fun doing these and learning a really unique new method. I used the gorgeous @the_gelbottle_inc shade Vanilla as the base and the @magpie_beauty Inkies (both gifted)
