Le Beijing National Stadium, également surnommé "Bird's Nest" (nid d'oiseaux) est une sculpture et une structure à l'architecture étonnante et superbe. Conception des architectes Jacques Herzog et Pierre De Meuron, le stade est composé d'une myriade de formes qui tissent une dentelle géométrique sublime.
Les architectes suisses le décrivent ainsi : "L'effet spatial du stade est nouveau et radical et pourtant simple et d'une immédiateté presque archaïque. Son apparence est une structure pure. Façade et structure sont identiques. Tout comme les oiseaux remplissent de douces choses les espaces entre les brindilles qui tissent leurs nids, les espaces dans la structure du stade seront remplis de coussins gonflables."
Les Jeux Olympiques chinois sont lancés : à 08h08 (le 08/08/08 : chiffre porte-bonheur en Chine).
The Beijing National Stadium, nicknamed "Bird's Nest" is a sculpture and a structure to the amazing and beautiful architecture. Designed by architects Jacques Herzog and Pierre De Meuron, the stadium is composed of a myriad of ways that weave a geometric and sublime lace.
The Swiss architects describe it: “The spatial effect of the stadium is novel and radical and yet simple and of an almost archaic immediacy. Its appearance is pure structure. Facade and structure are identical.” “Just as birds stuff the spaces between the woven twigs of their nests with a soft filler, the spaces in the structure of the stadium will be filled with inflated cushions.”
The Chinese Olympics are launched at 08h08 (08/08/08: good-luck figure in China).
