Treizième album des portugais prince du métal gothique, que vaut ce retour en fanfare quatre ans après leur précédent opus ?

Alors qu’Hermitage m’avait laissé un souvenir plutôt tiède, après le puissant diptyque Alpha Noir / Omega White, le très chantant Extinct, hymne gothique ninety, et l’exceptionnel 1755 tout dans la langue de Magellan, quels sont mes impressions sur ce Far From God ?

La première chose qui interpelle sur cet album, c’est la production, assez fade. Le son est comme écrasé, audible derrière un écran d’eau. L’impact en est alors affaibli ; l’impression d’écouter un vieil enregistrement en AAD. En outre, pas vraiment de temps fort sur cet album. On est dans une ambiance à la Omega White, plutôt soft. En espérant que cette parenthèse nous amène à un prochain album plus catchy !
