Impossible de rester objectif tant les compositions de Jordan me touchent, me parlent… Je tente pourtant l’exercice… Après l’avoir reçu, en concert dans mon appartement (une ou deux vidéos suivront, je m’attelle au montage..), j’ai bien dû prendre deux ou trois jours pour retrouver mes esprits et composer cet article. A l’instar de son Ep « Despistado » à venir chez mes camarades de Camaraderie Limited et admirablement illustré par Bertrand Sallé, la voix de Jordan me laisse (encore) sans voix. Jordan a cette façon d’amener sa voix, de laisser aux sons aucune autre échappée que celle de l’Essentiel. Ni plus, ni moins… Du « haut » de ces 20 ans, il a encore le temps, Jordan, d’exprimer cette essentielle matière, de la façonner, la sculpter… Jeune artisan, empli de timidité, le chemin d’un tout grand (et c’est vrai qu’il est grand bondiou…) semble lui être destiné. Ouvrez donc grand vos oreilles (et si cela ne suffit pas, faites quelques exercices d’étirements tiens !) Jordan Irvin Dally prend de la hauteur !
Jordan’s songs speak to me, move me so that it’s impossible to stay objective… Yet I try to succeed the exercice. After having him around in my flat (one or two videos will follow, I’m editing them) I had to take two or three days to regain consciousness and write this article. Like his Ep « Despistado » coming soon on my friends’ label Camaraderie Limited and wonderfully illustrated by Bertrand Sallé, the voice of Jordan still leaves me speechless. Jordan knows how to bring us with his voice nothing but the Essential. Nothing more, nothing less… Only aged of twenty years, he’s got time, Jordan, to express this essential material, to shape it, to scuplt it… Young craftsman, full of shyness, he seems to be meant to be a great one. So open your ears wide (and if it’s not enough, do some stretching) Jordan Irvin Dally is getting higher !
