Le groupe explose enfin en avril 1975 avec la sortie de son troisième album : “Toys In The Attic” (#11 US), produit par Jack Douglas.

Un album majeur, l’un des meilleurs du groupe, contenant les classiques “walk this way”, “sweet emotion” et leur reprise géniale du “big ten inch record”.

Aerosmith devient avec cet album un groupe de tout premier plan et va concurrencer les géants des seventies.

Bizarrement, des quatre singles publiés, seul “sweet emotion” se classe dans les charts (#36 US), contrairement à “walk this way”, “toys in the attic” ou “you see me crying”.

Mais en 1976, on réédite le premier album ainsi que deux singles : “dream on” (#6 US) et “walk this way” (#10 US), faisant connaître Aerosmith à un public plus large.
