Cirez D released few days ago his new techno EP, composed of two tracks "The tumble" and "Exit". Cirez D aka Eric Prydz, had published his last work « Viro » under his nickname Pryda. Exiled in London, and expelled from the Swedish House Mafia, he released this EP on Mouseville Records, founded in 2004 and exclusively reserved for his own productions. He also released previously the hits "Re-Match" and "Knockout" on Mouseville Records. For the record, the latest release of the label was "Bauerpost" and "Glow", two very good tracks.

"The tumble” is a dark track. It uses an underground bass, with a break composed of a simple beat and an addictive melody, oppressive in certain moments... The track, which concludes with techno sounds, is quite linear in its whole. This track, which disappointed us for our first listening, returns to the sources of Cirez D, with a somber and heavy atmosphere.

"Exit" is very different from "The tumble”. Progressive at the beginning, the track is getting stronger with the arrival of kick after 3 minutes. Then, it remains simple and without much change of rhythm. There is nothing to add, unfortunately!

Both "Bauerpost" and "The tunnel” had a real inspiration, but "The tumble" and "Exit” doesn’t match the actual level of Eric Prydz to be honest. Simple in their rhythm, the productions are very linear and failed to seduce us. We can feel the frustration of the artist, who cannot go through with his creative ideas. We will for sure wait for the next release of Cirez D, who needs to restart the machine.

Cirez D nous présente en ce mois chaud de Juin 2010 son nouvel opus techno, composé de deux titres « The tumble » et « Exit ». Cirez D alias Eric Prydz, avait sorti pour mémoire son dernier EP « Viro » sous son pseudo Pryda. Exilé à Londres et exclu de la Swedish House Mafia, Cirez D a sorti ce maxi sur son label personnel Mouseville Records, crée en 2004 et exclusivement réservé à ses propres productions. Il avait d’ailleurs sorti sur ce label ses hits « Re-match » et « Knockout » à ses débuts. Pour mémoire, la dernière sortie du label fut « Bauerpost » et « Glow » deux très bons tracks.

« Exit » démarre d’une façon totalement différente à « The tumble ». Progressif au début, le titre monte en puissance avec l’arrivée du kick au bout de 3 minutes. Ensuite, il reste simple et sans grande variation de rythme. Pas grand-chose à dire de plus, malheureusement !

Autant « Bauerpost » et « The tunnel » avaient une vraie source d’inspiration, autant là « The tumble » et « Exit » ne sont pas à la hauteur du niveau réel d’Eric Prydz. Finalement assez simple dans leur rythme, les productions restent très linéaires et n’ont pas réussi à nous séduire. On y ressent une certaine frustration de l’artiste, qui n’arrive pas à aller jusqu’au bout de ses idées créatives. On attend donc vraiment la prochaine sortie de Cirez D, pour relancer la machine.
