Roger Waters-The Wall Live In Berlin-1990

En 1990, pour fêter la chute du mur de Berlin, Roger Waters organise un grand show "The Wall" sur la Potzdamer Platz avec bon nombres d'invités comme les Scorpions, Bryan Adams, Cindy Lauper, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell ou Sinead O'Connor pour un résultat plutôt médiocre.

Le grand absent de ce spectacle sera David Gilmour, qui avait proposé, malgré leurs différents, d'y participer, rejeté par un Waters encore aigri.

C'est la fin de la guerre froide, sauf entre les membres du Pink Floyd.

L’album fut ré-enregistré en studio du moins en partie, pour cause de grands vents lors du concert, rendant difficile la prise de son, sans malheureusement améliorer la qualité de l'oeuvre.

Il est difficile, il est vrai, de faire mieux que l'original.

Le final “The tide is turning” vient de son album solo “Radio Kaos”.
