David Guetta n’est pas prêt de disparaitre de votre environnement musical, n’en déplaise à certains. Le DJ français le plus en vogue dans le monde vient en effet de sortir un nouveau titre en collaboration avec deux des rappeurs les plus populaires dans la sphère pop actuellement : Flo Rida et Nicki Minaj. If you thought you’d be able to take a break from David Guetta‘s music, think again. The most famous French DJ in the world is already plotting a comeback and premiered his new collaboration with two of the most popular rappers in the Pop sphere right now : Flo Rida and Nicki Minaj. This is an unexpected collaboration, but hardly surprising. Here is the new song “Where Dem Girls At?”, so check it out :

This is unfortunately everything I did not want this song to be : a generic, flavourless electropop song with a somehow catchy chorus. I blame Flo Rida. Everything this man touches seems to fall into the same bland commercial pop songs. Thank God Nicki Minaj is on the track to bring some of her craziness to it. Her verse was definitely the highlight of the song, with this weird accent of hers and this undeniable charisma. I love her part, but honestly that’s about it. So i guess we should add Flo Rida’s name to the long list of Nicki’s victims, but it’s not like he stood a chance to begin with anyway. This song could be huge for Nicki, especially with Summer coming right around the corner. She could even have some visibility in Europe with that song, if handled correctly. Time will tell.

Cett chanson est maheureusement tout ce que j’espérais qu’elle ne soit pas : une chanson electropop banale et sans saveur, avec un refrain un peu catchy. Tout cela à cause de Flo Rida. Tout ce que cet homme touche se transforme en chansons pop commerciales sans intérêt. Heureusement Nicki Minaj parvient à relever le niveau avec son flow déjanté et épileptique. Son couplet est sans aucun doute la meilleure partie de la chanson, notamment grâce à cet accent bizarre qui la caractérise et son charisme absolument indéniable. Elle redonne vie à la chanson, et mise à part sa partie, je ne vois rien d’autre à sauver dans la chanson. Il est temps d’ajouter Flo Rida à la longue liste des victimes qui tentent de chanter avec Nicki Minaj sur une chanson, mais ce n’est pas comme s’il avait eu une chance de pouvoir résister de toutes les façons. Cette chanson pourrait être un succès énorme pour Nicki, surtout avec l’arrivée de l’été.  Elle pourrait même avoir une visibilité en Europe si le projet est géré correctement. L’avenir nous le dira. En attendant…
