"If you have read this blog for some time, you know how much I love Elina, aka Dear Euphoria". That was the opening phrase of my last post about her. That's gonna be the same one for this new post. Am I repeating myself ? Probably. And so what ? As long as I'm sincere. Remember this, this, this and that interview with her?
On this post you're gonna hear a live version of her song Able. It is taken from a little session Elina did with her cellist Alexandra Eklöf and her producer/guitarist/whateverlinkedwithmusic Sven Johansson. I was actually there during this session and also at the gig she played at La Flèche d'Or after it. We were in the local of a little Parisian radio station named Radio Aligre, for the interesting Planet Claire show.
It was the last day of her little European tour. And her birthday. Dear Euphoria was a little bit tired but glad to be here. No "filter" in those live versions. You can actually hear everything. The breath. The silence. The raw emotion. No artefact, just a violin, and a discreet piano. And a magic voice with no trick.

"Ceux d'entre vous qui lisent ce blog depuis quelques temps savent combien j'aime Elina, alias Dear Euphoria". Le dernier billet. que j'ai écrit sur elle s'ouvrait ainsi. Celui-ci aussi. Suis-je en train de me répéter ? Sans doute, et alors ? Je suis sincère. Souvenez-vous de ceci, ceci, cela et de cette interview d'elle.
Vous pourrez entendre dans ce billet une version live de sa chanson Able. Elle fait partie d'une petite session qu'Elina a réalisé avec sa violoncelliste Alexandra Eklöf et son producteur/guitariste/n'importequoiliéàlamusique Sven Johansson. J'étais présent. C'était juste avant qu'elle ne joue à la Flèche d'Or. Nous étions dans les studios de la radio associative parisienne Radio Aligre, pour l'émission Planet Claire (émission franchement intéressante avec une programmation musicale plutôt pointue).
Il s'agissait du dernier concert de sa mini-tournée européenne. Le jour de son anniversaire également. Dear Euphoria était un peu fatiguée mais heureuse d'être là. Cet enregistrement live permet de tout percevoir. De tout entendre. Le souffle. Le silence. L'émotion nue. Pas d'artefact, juste un violon et un piano discret. Et une voix magique dont nous n'avons pas encore fait le tour.
