ELI ROTH MELANIE LAURENT LAWRENCE BENDER Lawrence Bender, producer for Quentin Tarantino’s new film, Inglourious Basterds, asked the former vice president to host a Nashville movie premiere, and Gore was happy to do it.

The connection: Bender was one of the producers behind Gore’s documentary An Inconvenient Truth. Bender also attended the Nashville Film Festival in 2007, where he received the President’s Award.
Premiere celebrity guests at the private event held at Regal’s Green Hills Stadium 16 are Inglourious Basterds actors Eli Roth and Mélanie Laurent; Bender and Gore. Other celebrities on the red carpet were Steve Harwell of Smash Mouth, Sheryl Crow, Julie Roberts, Kathy Mattea, Mindy Smith, Bucky Covington, Danielle Peck, Jaron Lowenstein,Joey & Rory.

The movie, which opens nationwide on Friday Aug. 21, is Tarantino’s R-rated

Mélanie Laurent  présente « Paris en émotions », un court métrage inédit réalisé pour le ministère de la Culture et de la Communication, dans le cadre du lancement de la Saison Culturelle 2017.

 Mélanie Laurent a posé sa caméra au Centre Pompidou, au Musée du Louvre, au Chateau de Versailles, au Musée d’Orsay, à la Comédie Française, à la Philarmonie de Paris, et à l’Opéra Bastille

« Je veux faire un film qui témoigne de cette force de l’art en tentant de capter sur les visages l’émotion véritable que peut produire la découverte d’un chef-d’œuvre. Cette émotion est différente pour chacun en fonction de ses origines, de sa culture et de sa sensibilité . Mais nous la partageons tous. C’est le véritable sens du projet : donner à voir la multiplicité de ces émotions pour nous rappeler que la création artistique est un bien commun qui nous réunit et que le patrimoine culturel de la ville de Paris est ce formidable creuset d’expériences et d’échanges… » Mélanie Laurent
