Décès récents: Martin Funderud, William Tolley, Cuba Gooding Sr., Patrick Fitzpatrick, Allan Holdsworth!

Martin Funderud, le chanteur du death metal band norvégien Kraanium s'est donné la mort le 20 avril.

Le groupe, dans lequel joue également son jumeau Mats Funderund, a annoncé la triste nouvelle sur facebook.

William Tolley, le batteur de Internal Bleeding, un autre death metal combo, venant de Long Island, est décédé en tombant d'un toit alors qu'en tant que pompier il avait été appelé pour maîtriser un incendie.

Bill avait 42 ans, le dernier album du groupe, 'Imperium' datait de 2014, un single 'Final Justice' était sorti cette année.

L'acteur et chanteur Cuba Gooding Sr. a été retrouvé sans vie dans son véhicule à L A ce 20 avril .

Le gars de Harlem était le chanteur du r'n'b/soul group The Main Ingredient qui a placé deux titres dans le top ten US dans les années 70: 'Everybody Plays the Fool' repris plus tard, également avec succès, par Aaron Neville et 'Just don't want to be lonely'.

Il était le père du fameux Cuba Gooding, Jr.!

Patrick Fitzpatrick a tenu les claviers au sein du groupe irlandais Aslan durant de longues années.

Son décès a été annoncé sur la page facebook du groupe:

We are saddened to let you all know that our good friend and keyboard player Patrick Fitzpatrick (Fitzy) passed away peacefully this morning.

Pat played keyboards with us for over 20 years and was there with us on all the gigs and recordings that we did.

He was not ours alone , he played with Something Happens, The Blades , Van Morrison and lots of other great bands but we liked to think of him as ours.

As recently as 11 days ago he was rocking the roof off The Cork Opera House with us and stayed up for drinks with us and his wife Rebecca. We have great memories of all the great gigs we did together, Vicar st, Made in Dublin Revisited last Chrismas . The Olympia on paddy eve , The INEC Killarney and lots more.

We will miss you Pat , R I P from all in the Aslan camp, Christy, Alan , Joe, Billy, Rod, Svenn , Mark, Smokie, Edgee, Archie and Frank!

Le guitariste de Bradford Allan Holdsworth a succombé des suites d'une attaque cardiaque la semaine dernière, il avait 70 ans.

Il était considéré comme un des plus grands guitaristes de jazz fusion, il a collaboré avec plusieurs grands noms du style: Nucleus, Tempest, Soft Machine, Tony Williams, J L Ponty, Jack Bruce, U K, Gong, Krokus ....

Sa disco personnelle compte douze albums, le dernier 'Flat Tire: Music for a Non-Existent Movie' date de 2001.
